Job Description

The purpose of a security guard's role is to prevent theft or any other illegal activity while providing security for premises and people.

A Security Guard is a vital role, being the first point of contact for visitors and responsible for protecting property or people by patrolling sites and acting as access control. We have various shift schedules available, from Monday-Sunday.
Corporate security goes beyond crisis management, and aims to proactively respond to threats. A corporate security officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of the people and property of a corporation. Their duties include: Engaging with employees, Ensuring visitors follow the correct protocol, Detecting suspicious behavior, and Staying up-to-date with the latest security requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure a safe and secure environment and demonstrate a positive and professional approach towards guests, visitors and colleagues
Carry out regular checks to prevent theft
Carry out lobby presence and patrol within the property
Deal with undesirable behaviour
Manage access control and locker facilities for colleagues
Report writing of any incidents

Required Skills

A valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor or Security Guarding
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to follow instructions
A professional manner and personal integrity
Flexibility to work with the business needs
A 5-year checkable work or education history
Basic first aid skills would be advantageous.
Physical strength and fitness.
Prior experience as a Security Guard would be advantageous.
